Giving Back

A church, like any organization, requires resources to function. The needs of a church provide its members with opportunities to contribute to the church community, and also the community of Homestead. City Church provides everyone with the opportunity to give back through volunteering and through financial giving. We encourage our members to get involved in helping the church family and reaching out to others in need in our community by contributing in one of these two ways.

Serving Others

Jesus called us to love one another and said that others would know we were Christians by our love. Joh 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." Giving freely of your time to help another is a great way to put your love in action.

Financial Giving

Early Christians were known for their selfless generosity to those in need. Acts 2:44-47 "All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

As a community, we take joy in the ways our faith is made stronger through giving and receiving together. There is a satisfaction that comes from following Jesus' example of generosity toward those most in need, and it is a privilege to use our resources to continue tell God's story and help bring about measurable change in the world.
